About Montgomery Plumbing Pros

Montgomery Plumbing Pros is a referral service. We connect homeowners with independent local plumbers. We are not a plumbing company, we do not send anyone out under our own name, and we do not do the work. The plumber you end up hiring runs their own business, sets their own price and stands behind their own work.

The reason the service exists is simple. When a pipe lets go or a drain backs up, most people do not want to scroll through ads and directory listings trying to guess who actually works their part of town. One form, one description of the problem, and we handle the matching.

How a request reaches a plumber

You fill out the form with what is wrong, where you are and the best way to reach you. We read it, figure out what kind of job it is (a slow drain is a different call from a gas line) and connect you with an independent plumber who handles that work in your area. From there the conversation is between you and the plumber: they look at the job, quote it, and you decide. There is no charge to you for the request and no obligation to hire anyone.

Check the license before anyone starts

Because the plumber is independent, checking them out is your call, and it is worth the five minutes. In Alabama, plumbers and gas fitters are licensed through a state board, and you can look up a name or license number on the state examining board's site. Gas work in particular should only go to someone licensed for gas. Ask for proof of liability insurance as well, and make sure the name on the license matches the name on the quote.

Questions worth asking

A few questions sort out most hiring decisions. Is the price written down, and does it cover parts, labor and cleanup? Is a permit needed, and who pulls it? What is the warranty on the work and on any parts, and is it in writing? If the job turns out bigger once a wall or floor is opened, how will that be handled before more work is done?

If you just moved here, and plenty of people do, since Maxwell Air Force Base and Gunter Annex sit right in Montgomery and summer is the busiest moving season there, these questions matter even more on a house you do not know yet.

When you are ready

If the description above fits what you need, send the details through the form and tell us what is going on. If you want to see whether your town is covered, the list of places we connect homeowners covers three counties.

When you send this form, we share your name, phone, address and message with an independent local plumber so they can contact you with a quote. How we handle your details
